BioScript Solutions Commits to Science-Based Climate Action

At BioScript Solutions, our commitment to sustainability is more than a responsibility—it’s an integral part of who we are. That’s why we’re proud to share that our science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Our Science-Based Target

BioScript aims to:

• Reduce our Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 (from a 2023 base year)
• Measure and reduce our Scope 3 emissions

This ambitious goal is aligned with climate science and the urgent global effort to limit warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. It reflects our responsibility not only to our patients and Team Members, but to the communities we serve across Canada. 

Why it Matters

“For the past few years, we’ve been carefully collecting and analyzing our greenhouse gas emissions data,” says Harnaaz Sandhu, BioScript’s Environment and Business Sustainability Coordinator. “Understanding where these emissions come from has allowed us to set clear, science-based targets for reducing them.”

BioScript’s targets are now published on the SBTi’s Target Dashboard, alongside more than 8,000 companies and financial institutions worldwide—organizations that, like us, recognize the need to act decisively on climate change. 

How We’re Taking Action

Our first focus is reducing emissions we can directly control, such as the natural gas used to heat our facilities and the electricity we purchase. These steps are just the beginning of a longer sustainability journey.
